I am thinking bout baggin some of these

anybody have experience trying to sell them-- do they tend to command a discount or premium over spot?

If it's denominated in troy ounces (onzas) there is a premium over spot, a little over generic rounds sometimes. The peso denominated coins should be discounted under spot.

Kinda like our SAE versus 90%.

The .999 fine Libertads will buy and sell like other .999 fine bullion. The .925 Onza can sometimes cost and bring a premium but often trades as .999. The rest of the stuff has a worse buy/sell spread than even US 90%.

call your local refiner...

and get a price if they buy it at all, I accumilated a bunch of that stuff, but haven't found a buyer yet. I no longer buy silver nickles either.:Sorry: This goes for the .720 pure or less coins, pure silver in almost any form is great.

There's a good market to find sellers or buyers bidding on ebay for the silver war nickels. Perhaps the dealers don't want them, but that's also the case for many other highly-regarded items that can be moved on ebay with great interest, such as the Palladium Maple Leaf.

I've seen a bunch of these coins on ebay, and they do go for a bit below what APMEX is asking. They call them wholesale lots, but they really aren't if they can't even match the going price on ebay.
